2017 will bring not one but two new Iron Fist titles. We already knew about
Kaare Andrews Iron Fists series but now Ed Brisson and Mike Perkins are doing
Iron Fist also. The new series will start in March and follow up Andrews’ 2015
Iron Fist: The Living Weapon series. Brisson told the Hollywood Reporter,
"Danny’s in a weird place. He’s questioning who he is and he’s pushing himself.
He’s a person filled with self-doubt, but he’s always going to have his sense of
humor about him - even if he’s using it to cover his own pain. He’s an outsider
who’s always trying to fit in, trying to find a place where he belongs." In Iron
Fist: The Living Weapon the city of K'un Lun was destroyed in a final battle and
Danny will have to deal with the reality that the city was the source of his
powers and is now gone. The fist arc will explore the learned existence of an
unknown island called Liu-Shu that has a strong tie to the Iron Fist legacy.
Iron Fist will debut at the same time as the Netflix TV series. The debut of the
Kaare Andrews and Afu Chan series Iron Fists hasn’t been announced yet but
Marvel says it’s in production. |
