Anthem Sports & Entertainment has worked out an agreement to
purchase a majority interest in TNA Impact Wrestling. The company also owns The
Fight Network. The new head of the company is Ed Nordholm. Dixie Carter will
step down as chairman of the board to join the advisory board of Fight Media
Group and will continue to be a minority equity stakeholder. Anthem’s first
major move was to bring in Jeff Jarrett as a consultant. Jarrett will bring with
him Dutch Mantel who was Zeb Colter in WWE. The move suggests that Anthem will
help Jarrett’s Global Force Wrestling promotion get a TV deal. |
