The second arc on All-Star Batman has begun and it will be a
four issue arc that deals with different villains using different artists and a
different writing style by Scott Snyder. All-Star Batman #6 dealt with Mr.
Freeze and was drawn by Jock. #7 will deal with Poison Ivy and be drawn by Tula
Lotay. #8 will have Giuseppe Camunoli and deal with the Mad Hatter. All of the
issues of the arc will contain a back-up story with art by Francesco Francavilla
and continue the training of Duke Thomas, who will get a new identity and role
in #9. The villain for that issue hasn’t been revealed. And this summer Snyder
and Greg Capullo will reunite on an event that Capullo is calling their “Batman
heavy metal rock opera.” The story was worked on with the help of Geoff Johns
and has a name that Snyder will not reveal. Snyder does hint that the event will
not be superheroes fighting other superheroes. |
