Vertigo editor Shelly Bond has joined IDW for a creator owned imprint called
Black Crown. The line will include creators she has worked with before…the new
Image book from Matt Fraction, Chip Zdarsky and Annie Wu is now called Mr.
Recidivism. The book will deal with a criminal released from prison after 30
years who has to work with a superhero. Fraction will release a series of Sex
Criminals annuals that will be released between arcs…Kevin Smith Threatens says
we are more likely to see Clerks 3 and Mallrats 2 as comics instead of
movies….Arrival’s Eric Heisserer and Raul Allen are working on a limited series
called Secret Weapons that will have a team led by Livewire take on the classic
Valiant villain Rex-o…Greg Rucka and Nicola Scott’s Black Magick will return in
June…Brian Wood is writing the new Robotech title for Titan Comics…former
Vertigo Editor Karen Berger will get a line at Dark Horse Comics called Berger
Books….Mark Waid will expand his role at Archie. Part of his new role will be
co-writing Jughead with Ian Flynn starting this May…Stieg Larsson’s Millennium
trilogy will be adapted again but this time by Titan Comics as part of their
Hard Case Crime imprint. The line will include an adaptation of Max Collins’
Quarry novels and a brand new series called Normandy Gold set in 1970s
Washington D.C…Kieron Gillen and Antonio Fuso are doing an oversized James Bond
one-shot…Valiant's Eternal Warrior will return in a one shot called Eternal
Warrior: Awakening by Robert Venditti and Renato Guedes. The story will be set
in the early days of the character…Kieron Gillen and Dave Lafuente’s Image title
The Ludocrats is coming along slow but we will see it maybe by year’s end. The
book has been described as an R-rated The Never Ending Story…Valiant is doing a
four-issue limited series called Rapture. The Matt Kindt/CAFU book will team
Shadowman and Ninjak. |
