Shadowman will return to the racks in 2018. This was revealed at the recent
Valiant Summit in Los Angeles. Shadowman is involved in the May launching
Rapture limited series by Matt Kindt and CAFU and you could guess that will set
up the new series. Valiant Entertainment Editor-in-Chief Warren Simons and CEO
and Chief Creative Officer Dinesh Shamdasani aren’t willing to reveal much but
did say that Valiant wants to explore the supernatural side of the Valiant
Universe. There are multiple characters that can go into the Deadside but since
Shadowman lives there he can explain it better. The Rapture event will have a
supernatural strike force of Punk Mambo, Shadowman, Ninjak and some new
characters like Rex the Razer to take on a villain called Babel. The conclusion
will push Shadowman into making a decision that sets up the first issue of the
new series. That book will ship on 3/28/2018 which will be a year after the
debut of the new X-O series. The move is intentional and Valiant will debut a
new series in 2019 at the same end of the month ship date. We have no idea who
the creative team on Shadowman will be but the teaser image is from Moon
