Say what you want about Billy Corgan, he's serious about
owning a wrestling federation. The National Wrestling Alliance which has been
around damn near forever now has a new owner-Billy Corgan. He signed a purchase
agreement with Bruce Tharpe to own the name and all intellectual property. The
deal took a while to complete and with his ownership Corgan owns the NWA on
Demand website that has the Paul Boesch Houston tape library on it. The WWE had
been trying to buy those tapes for years and now Corgan owns them. As of this
moment there are no plans for Corgan to start signing talent and creating a TV
show. He is working with former WWE/TNA writer David Lagana so that may change
in the future. Corgan’s settlement with TNA allows him to try and set up TV
deals. |
