Before 2005 Liam Neeson wasn’t an action star
and then in 2008 Taken came out and he became the go to guy for action films.
Neeson has said that his becoming an action hero was an accident. During the
premiere of Mark Felt he told reporters he was retired from action films:
“They’re still throwing serious money at me to do that stuff. I’m like: ‘Guy’s
I’m sixty-f–king-five.’ Audiences are eventually going to go: ‘Come on.'” And
then suddenly he changed his mind at the same premiere, “It’s not true, look at
me! You’re talking in the past tense. I’m going to be doing action movies until
they bury me in the ground. I’m unretired.” |
