ARCHIE RETURNS TO 1941

The main Archie series will take a hiatus and be replaced by the limited series Archie 1941. It will be co-written by Mark Waid and Brian Augustyn and drawn by Peter Krause. The series will take place in the same year that Archie Andrews first debuted. 1941 was when the United States got involved in World War II. The idea behind the series came from editorial and Waid liked the idea. Krause had already done some covers and worked on some continuity pages for another proposed series. The series will run five issues.
