 In
the pages of the now cancelled Thanos Donny Cates and Geoff Shaw showed us a
world in which the Mad Titan won. Most if not all of life in the universe had
been destroyed but Frank Castle was now the new Ghost Rider after pledging his
soul to Mephisto, Galactus and Thanos. Castle died in the last issue of the
series but was brought back to life in the Thanos Annual by Odin, who welcomed
him to Valhalla. In the current Cosmic Ghost Rider limited series Cates and
Dylan Burnett are showing what Frank will do with his resurrection. The series
will have Frank seek redemption for everything he did while in the service of
Thanos as he tries to understand why Odin did what he did. There should be
mutual respect but there isn’t any. The limited series will give familiar faces
new takes as the book progresses. Cates says he has multiple ideas for new
Cosmic Ghost Rider stories and says there are already plans for him after this
miniseries. |
