Williamson’s Flash War arc ended with Flash #50 and created quite a few changes.
The Speed Force is tattered and Hunter Zolomon has tapped into the Sage Force
and the Strength Force while trying to access something called the Still Force.
Bart Allen has returned to the Flash family with the collapse of the Force Wall
and the repercussions of that will be in the background of the series. Impulse
may not even be remembered after his return to the timeline. The arc made
Hypertime and time travel off the table and Williamson says he will gradually
show what that really means to the title and the Flash family. #52 through #57
will reveal all we need to know about the new Forces and how dangerous they are.
The mysterious Still Force creates a situation in which nothing is ever in
motion which creates decay and entropy. Justice League #7 will show just how
dangerous the Still Force is. Future issues of Flash will reveal the ultimate
goal of Hunter Zolomon and show Barry’s reaction to no longer being the fastest
man alive since Wally has a connection to what’s left of the Speed Force
stronger than his. The major new villain introduced at the end of #50 will
return in #58 as Barry tries to regain the mantle of being the fastest man alive
again. |
