CBS is developing an asteroid event series called Salvation. Fringe’s Alex
Kurtzman is developing the series which will deal with an asteroid headed
towards Earth. The 13-week series will debut in the summer…the adaptation of
Stephen King’s Gerald’s Game had added Carla Gugino and Bruce Greenwood as the
leads in the film. The film will be set almost entirely in a single room in a
remote cabin where Gugino will accidentally kill Greenwood while handcuffed to
the bed with no way to be rescued…Teen Wolf’s Jeff Davis and Andrew Cochran are
working on a new TV series adaptation of the H.G. Wells story War of the Worlds
for MTV…Edge of Tomorrow 2 is both a sequel and a prequel according to director
Doug Liman. Tom Cruise and Emily Blunt are expected to return for the
follow-up…Fast Five’s Justin Lin will produce a digital reboot of the 1980s NBC
television series Knight Rider…The J.J. Abrams-produced upcoming film God
Particle is actually the third film in the connected Cloverfield series. The
film will follow a team of astronauts who make a shocking discovery and end up
fighting for survival in what is described as an altered reality. The cast
includes: David Oyelowo, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Ziyi Zhang, Elizabeth Debicki, Daniel
Bruhl and Chris O’Dowd. |
